The Taborites (in Czech: Táborité , plural of Táborita ) form the sect proto- Protestant of the Église hussite of the 15th century. They draw their name from the borough of Tábor in Bohemia. Jan Žižka is their military chief.

This movement is born from the preaching of Mikuláš Biskupec de Pelhřimov and of Prokop Large the. The community lasts about thirty year, then dissolves after the defeat of Taborites to the Bataille of Lipany on May 30th, 1434 when thirteen with dix-huit-mille men are killed. They then sign a treaty with Sigismond Ier of the Holy roman Empire, also king de Bohême.

Taborites are often perceived like the expression of a Jacquerie and an internal war opposes them to the Orebites, hussites related on the Czech nobility and the town elites.
