Presentation

The tabi (Japanese 足袋) are a traditional form of Chaussette S Japanese. They go up until ankle and separate the big toe from the other toes. They are used to carry geta or Zōri in complement of the traditional Kimono or Yukata. The tabi are most of the time of white color, in particular for the formal occasions. It happens however that the men carry tabi of black color, and varied coloured women or reason.

The term Jika-tabi indicates fit of the same form, made fibers thicker and more resistant and equipped with a sole in rubber. These Jika-tabi are carried by the workmen of construction, the gardeners or the gunners of rickshaw.
