Tabebuia impetiginosa
Tabebuia impetiginosa (synonymous : Tabebuia avellanedae ) is an important tree of the South America, its size maximum is of 35m, it pushes well between the Mexico and the north of the Argentine, therefore with the tropical and subtropical areas. It is called also Lapacho and tree crowned of the incas .
Its flowering lasts from May to August. Its many Fleur S is pink and in the shape of bell.
Its wood is invaluable. Incas used it as herb tea and like drug, the Indians of the Peru, the Bolivia and the Paraguay have them thereafter immity. Today its bark interior is used for manufacture of herb tea and is used in the alternative medicine. The lapacho contains Kalium, Calcium, Fer, Barium, Strontium and Iode but of Caféine nor of Théine. However it contains also powerful a Antibiotique the lapachon . This one has a tonic effect on the organization.
The herb tea of lapacho to an earthy taste with a vanilla key, it resembles that of the red a little (Rooibos).
