The Taïmyrie (in Russian: Таймы́рскийавтоно́мныйо́круг) was the federal subject of Russia (a okroug of the Krai de Krasnoïarsk), most septentrional of Russia (and, incidentally, of Asia). It draws its name from the Péninsule of Taïmyr. It was also sometimes named autonomous District Dolgan-Nenets (Долгано-Ненецкийавтономныйокруг) because of the name of natives of this area, the Dolgan S and the Nénètses.

With a surface of 862.100 km ² (4th larger surface with the country) and a population of 39.786 inhabitants, Taïmyrie is one of the sectors the least densément populated of Russia. Dudinka, which counts about half of the inhabitants of Taïmyrie, is the administrative center.

According to the referendum held the April 17th 2005, the autonomous districts of Taïmyrie and Évenkie amalgamated with will krai of Krasnoïarsk on January 1st 2007.
