Taï Phong
Taï Phong is the name of the group formed by Khanh May (guitar & song) and Tai Sinh (low, guitar, song & moog), two Vietnamese brothers , in 1975. They will call upon Jean-Alain Gardet (keyboards), Stephan Caussarieu (battery & percussions) and Jean-Jacques Goldman (guitar, song & violin) to supplement their formation.
Between 1975 and 1979, they will carry out 3 albums: Taï Phong (in 1975), Windows (in 1976) and Last Flight (in 1979). Sister Jane , first extract of the first album, is a success and will be widely diffused on the waves.
In 1978, Jean-Jacques Goldman is detached gradually from the group. It does not wish to take part in the rounds and is shown increasingly critical vis-a-vis the English songs. Taï Sinh also wished to take retreat. Michael Jones will succeed to them. Jean-Jacques Goldman will however agree to take part in the third album of the group, in 1979. Jean-Alain Gardet leaves also the group at this same period and is replaced by Pascal Wuthrich.
The group reforms in 2000 with Khan May and Stephan Caussarieu. Join Herve Acosta (song) and Angelo Zarzuelo (Keyboards).
In 2007, it remains only Khan May of the first formation of the group. A new album is in preparation for spring 2008.
