History

Daugava Rīga was the nightmare of the Czechoslovakian clubs and French, not to say of all the Europe in the years 1960-1970. Taken along by Uljana Semjonova, the Daugava gains almost all the titles of champion of Europe until in the years 1980, offering to the passage mythical duels against the Clermont CPU or the Sparta Prague. With the changes of government, the club disappears little by little before reappearing in 1999, under the impulse of the general sports club of the SK Rīga which first of all created the BK Rīga, which will recover then the sporting rights of the Daugava TTT Rīga
