Germany

In Germany, one is accustomed to giving a tip (German: Trinkgeld ) between 5% and 10% of the paid amount. One makes thus in the restaurants, the pubs and sometimes in the hairdresser. One does not give a tip in snack bars or when one is been useful by the owner himself. Minimal tips are regarded as abusive; it is not to even better give whole of it. Contrary to France, in Germany the tip is normally not left with the table, but one gives it directly to the waiter.
