TF6

TF6 is a Television channel French mini-general practitioner of entertainment intended for a public of young adults.

History of the chain

TF6 is created in December 2000 by the Groupe M6 and the Groupe TF1 which decide to bring closer their two competitor projects to family chain on the cable and satellite TPS of which they are the two Co-shareholders: the project W9/M6 Famille (name taken again by the M6 group in 2005 for its chain éponyme on TNT) for M6 and the project TFX for TF1. This fusion leads the two groups to create a common company gathering TF6 and Série Club and whose two groups are shareholders with 50%. That makes it possible the new chain to profit series cinema of the catalogs of its two head offices and to propose a richer offer.

TF6 is diffused on paying TNT since November 2005.
