TEAM Fortress 2

TEAM Fortress 2 (TF2) is a play based on the graphic engine Source, created by Valve. This play left on October 10th, 2007 on line, and on October 18th, 2007 offers " of it; Orange The Box" (version limps) which contains in addition to TF2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 , Half-Life 2: Episode 2 , Portal and Half-Life 2 . It is also possible to buy it separately. The price of the Orange Box is of approximately of 45€. TEAM Fortress 2 is the continuation of TEAM Fortress Classic , old MOD of Half-Life first of the name. It is a play exclusively multijouor where it is necessary to work in team.

Innovations

TEAM Fortress 2 proposes graphics " cartoon" of quality with the engine Source. He proposes a panoply of new weapons which were not in the original play. However, the grenades have removed summers.

Classes and their weapons

Pyro

Classify with offensive vocation, the pyro is the most effective character with the combat at short distance, n the other hand it very weak and is exposed to the remote attacks.

The engineer

special Capacities

  • a turret which attacks the enemies entering his sphere of activity (does not react to the spies invisible or not camouflaged), this turret is improvable twice. More the level of the turret is high plus its firepower and its resistance is large (level 2: double machine-gun; level 3: addition of 4 tubes rocket launcher).

The médic

Classify support, the médic has a reduced and ineffective arsenal at a certain distance. However he is the only character to be had a capacity of very effective care, which makes of it the ideal companion of the classes with large damage such as the heavy.

special Capacities

  • Ubercharge : When the medic uses its looking after ray, a bar of ubercharge starts to go up. The bar of ubercharge goes up more quickly when wounded allies are looked after. Attention this capacity also functions on the disguised enemy spies.

The sniper

special Capacities

No particular capacity, if it is not that its minigun spends a certain time before drawing (rotation of the guns), the secondary attack making it possible to activate the weapon without drawing, the use of the minigun (shooting or rotation) slows down the carrier considerably.

The soldier

The soldier is an offensive class, slightly slower than the other classes but laying out of more than life, his armament in particular made up of a lance rocket in fact a frightening, effective adversary in defense as in attack.

special Capacities

Scout

  • Double jump: the scout is able to carry out a double jump without being constrained by the inertia of the first enabling him to reach inaccessible places differently.

  • fast Capture: The scout with the capacity to capture the check-points twice more quickly than any other class of the play.

The demoman

The demonstration or démoman is a class of defense, it is the only character with being able to touch by an indirect shooting its victims thanks to its grenades, making it very effective in defense. However the demoman does not have any other arms, thus exposing it to the attacks with long distance

  • piece of broken bottle, grenade thrower, grenade thrower adhesive

special Capacities

  • bomb jump : The demoman with the possibility thanks to its grenades of being propelled in the airs in order to reach inaccessible places with a normal jump. It is enough to jump at the time when one or more of its grenades explode.

  • adhesive grenades: Thanks to its adhesive grenades, the demoman with the possibility of placing its explosives on all surfaces (wall, ground, ceiling) allowing him to make true traps with its adversaries. The explosion of the adhesive grenades is actuated by the demoman.

The spy

Classify support, the spy is a powerful class but difficult to play because it must play on the effect of surprised and the smoothness thanks to its competences of camouflage, invisibility, and sabotage.

special Capacities

  • disguise: allows the spy, thanks to his cigar box, to take the appearance and the name of any unfavourable enemy, while remaining visible by its allies. Any attack reveals the disguise.

  • invisibility: The spy with the possibility, with his secondary attack, to make itself invisible during a few moments, allowing him to disappear while waiting for a forthcoming target, or to cross defenses. Invisibility is reloaded when the capacity is not used.

  • sabotage: thanks to his apparatus of sabotage, the spy can decontaminate all constructions of the engineers, then at the end of a few seconds, if no engineer intervenes, construction explodes.

  • striking as a traitor: All the attacks with the knife carried out by the spy in the back of a victim results in the immediate death of the target.
