TCAR
The company Public transport of the Agglomeration Rouennaise is a simplified Joint stock company (SAS) with the capital of 164.000 €, subsidiary of Veolia Transport, which ensures the management of the Public transport of the town of Rouen and sound agglomeration. It was created in 1976 starting from the fusion of the CTR and the CGFTE (French General Company of Transport and Company).

Key dates
1976 - Birth of the TCAR (Public transport of the Rouennaise Agglomeration) starting from the fusion of the CTR and CGFTE (French General Company of Transport and Company), which also ensures the management of the networks of Bordeaux, Toulon, Le Havre, Nancy…1977 - Signature of the first convention of interested control binding the SIVOM agglomeration Rouennaise and the TCAR.
1991 - Signature of the concession contract enters the SIVOM of the Rouennaise Agglomeration and the SOMETRAR for construction, the exploitation and the financing of the Métrobus network.
1994 - Inauguration of the subway and birth of the Métrobus network resting on the complementarity of the two means of transport, bus and subway. Installation of a new tariffing being pressed on a magnetic ticketting.
1995 - The SIVOM becomes District of the Rouennaise Agglomeration. 1997 - Extension of the underground railway network towards the Technopolis of Saint-Etienne-of-Rouvray the. Opening of the station Law courts in Rouen.
2001 - Inauguration of lines TEOR (East-West Transport Rouennais) T2 and T3.
2002 - Inauguration of LISOR (Fast South-western Connection) with line 6 and of T1, third line of infrastructure TEOR (East-West Transport Rouennais). 2002 - June 21st, at the time of the festival of the music, the network celebrates its 100 millionth traveller.
2003 - The TCAR takes part in the Armada Rouen 2003.
January 8th, 2007 - lines T2 and T3 are prolonged until the Hauts de Rouen, Bihorel and Darnétal. 3 lines TEOR with high level of service constitute from now on a East-West axis structuring on Right Bank of the Seine.
