TBO (newspaper)
Periodic TBO of Cartoon.
Appeared for the first time in 1917 with Barcelona success was so large that as of this time all the reviews of Cartoon were called tebeos in Spain, as well as the sections of the newspapers which published inserts of cartoon or stories for child. The review was published until in the years 1970, with a stop at the time of the Guerre of Spain. After the bankruptcy of the Bruguera editor, the title and the characters were taken again in 1988 by Ediciones B and the newspaper continues its publication.
Other publication follow like: Pulgarcito (1947-1981) Jaimito (1945), DDT (1951-1964) there TioVivo (1955-1970) where characters as famous appeared as their creator: Escobar, Vázquez, Ibáñez, Cifré.

But in a few years the Spanish Super-héros are transfered to reverse by the American heroes of Comic like Spider-Man, Batman or Superman.
The name of the newspaper entered so much manners which it gave its name to the Spanish Cartoon: the term Tebeo designates any cartoon.
