T-1000

The T-1000 of Cyberdyne Systems is a androïde, programmed to kill, in the fictitious universe of the films Terminator .

Description

T-1000 was created by the super military computer Skynet.

Its great characteristic is to be made up of a metal alloy whose physical properties at the same time enable him to be liquefied (metal-liquid), and to regenerate themselves instantaneously. It is also poly mimetic, i.e. that it with faculty to change form, color, aspect (but not of volume) what allows him techniques of advanced infiltrations: it can take the shape of objects or of people by simple visual analysis. T-1000 has also the ability to be able to create knives with the parts of its body.

While the T-800 represents a little the tank of the androïdes, T-1000 can be compared with a racing car of race. Rapid and precis, it at summer developped at the point on the basis of the idea that it was to better absorb the power of a projectile rather than to stop it.

This is why Skynet decided to create a cyborg made up of molten metal, proving definitely more powerful than traditional the titanium-tungsten endosquelette. This system of operation allows an always optimal operational effectiveness, and proving to be the best technique of possible infiltration (this system was taken again later on the model T-X).

T-1000 is vulnerable vis-a-vis the extreme temperatures (Azote Liquidates, fused metal) and by the acid compounds which can destabilize its system.

A specimen was sent through time to eliminate John Connor, the future leader of human resistance. He was confronted with T-800. he failed in his mission.

The part of T-1000 was played by Robert Patrick in the film Terminator 2: The last Judgment (1991) of James Cameron.
