Ténosynovite

The ténosynovite is a Tendinite characterized by an ignition of a tendon and its synovial sheath. This rheumatic pathology can touch all the tendineuses zones (shoulder, hands, feet…) often solicited and which undergoes microphone-traumatisms.

One of most widespread is the ténosynovite of QUERVAIN:

The chronic ténosynovite sténosante of Quervain (Quervain' S disease) involves, on the level of the front armlever, an inflammatory lesion of the tendons delivery length and short bungee cord of the inch. In this case, the movements are painful and cause a noise of crackling which resembles the noise that one makes when one walks in snow (" have crépitant").

The treatments are based on analgesics, the Anti-inflammatoires (Stéroïdiens and not stéroïdiens - AINS -) by general or local way, the Infiltration S of Corticoïdes, even the surgery. The results are very inconstant and the spontaneous resolution is also possible with a fall of activity (then of rehabilitation) of the area concerned.

There exist rare forms of ténosynovite infectious (Tuberculose, anaerobic Bactéries…), the treatment becomes specific then causal Infection.
