Ténarèze

The Ténarèze , or Condomois is an area gascone in north east of the Armagnac. The principal city is Condom.

It was named name of the prehistoric way, which connects the central Pyrenees to the Atlantic Ocean without crossing neither bridge nor ford. It is thus also the watershed between the basin of the the Garonne and the basin of the Adour.

Wine Ténarèze

Ténarèze, is one of the 3 production zones of the Armagnac. Under this wine acceptance, Ténarèze is extended, encircling Low-Armagnac by the east. It included towns of Nérac, Vic-Fezensac and Aignan. It has grounds argilo-limestones whose product is vigorous and is suited to ageing.
