A télésuite (in Franglais: minisery - in English: miniseries - in Portuguese: minissery ) is a Feuilleton televised of short duration and little of episodes.

The term télésuite was created to replace the Anglicism minisery , which had been copied on English miniseries , these works not being does not make of them series but serials.

Even in English the term miniseries is criticized, since the correct term should be “miniserial”, serial meaning serial, in English. Moreover with the the United Kingdom one calls these works of the serials , the term miniseries being over there reserved with the imported télésuites the United States of America.

It is since the medium of the Années 1970 that this type of serials started to have success in the United States, with in particular Racines . Many a télésuites states-uniennes was diffused in French-speaking countries, as for example the birds hide to die , but also of the Australian télésuites like the Wind of Australia .

With the Brésil one also created an Anglicism, minissery , to indicate the télésuites, produced over there starting from 1982. Some of them were diffused in French-speaking countries, such as for example Anarchistes, thanks to God and Chiquinha Gonzaga . The correct term could be “mininovela”, novela meaning serial, in Brazil (but it is true that the word telenovela is itself a hispanism).
