Télémaque
In the Greek Mythology, Télémaque (in Greek old Τηλέμαχος / Têlémachos , “which fights with far”, in reference to his/her father) is the son of Ulysses and Pénélope. It is one of the characters of the Odyssey of Homère.
Myth
It is very young when his/her father leaves for the Trojan War. Twenty years after, he endeavors to hold head with the applicants who attack his mother and leaves to research his/her father who is long in returning. He goes initially to Pylos, near Nestor, then with Sparte near Ménélas to collect information on him. Nestor does not know anything, but Ménélas reveals to him the vision of Protée concerning his/her father: Ulysses is retained against his liking by the nymph Calypso. While returning to Ithaque, Télémaque ends up finding his/her father, whom it assists in the massacre of the applicants.
Concerning the remainder of the life of Télémaque, the Greek authors diverge. Some give him for woman Polycaste, girl of Nestor, Nausicaa, girl of Alcinoos, or Cassiphoné, girl of Circé, even Circé itself.
