Tågkompaniet
Svenska Tågkompaniet AB (TKAB) is a Swedish railroad company. It was founded in 1999 and has its seat with Luleå. It started its activity in 2000 and ensures primarily the local and regional service road north of the Sweden.
In 1999, the management of the regional trains and night trains to destination and coming from Norrland were put in adjudication. The TKAB postulated and gained. The traffic of Norrland was lost in 2003 with the profit of Connex, but the Tågkompaniet began again meanwhile:
- regional trains on the Mellanriksbana (Mittlinje) between Sundsvall and Östersund (with some trains with of Östersund),
- for X-Tåget in the Gävleborg province the Gävle relations - Ljusdal and Gävle - Gnarp (Sundsvall)
- for the local traffic of Uppland the relation Uppsala - Tierp (in direction of Gävle).
A joint venture with the railroad of Danish national (DSB) was created: Roslagståg. That Ci manages the railway line of suburbs with narrow gauge railway between Stockholm Östra (subway station Tekniska Högskolan) and Kårsta, Näsbypark and Österskär (on behalf of the grid system AB Storstockholms).
In 2004 the NSB acquired a third of the actions of Tågkompaniet. Since an agreement was made between TKAB and NSB; TKAB makes roll the trains of broad outlines from Oslo to Gothenburg Swedish side.
