Syzygium
Syzygium is a kind of Angiosperme pertaining to the family of the Myrtaceae . The kind includes/understands approximately 500 species that one finds in the tropical and subtropical areas of the Old world. It is very close to the kind Eugenia found especially in the Nouveau World and certain botanists consider that the kind Syzygium belongs to the kind Eugenia .
The majority of these species are evergreen trees. several species are cultivated like plants of ornament because of the beauty of their foliage. Certain species produce edible fruits fresh soups or in jam. Most known of these species is the Giroflier ( Syzygium aromaticum ) whose floral buds are used like spice (Clove).
