Syracuse University Orange is a club general sports university of the Syracuse University with Syracuse (New York). The teams of the Orange take part in the university competitions organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Syracuse University belongs to division Big East Conference.
The team of Baseball was created in 1872, then the Aviron made its appearance in 1873. The American football is practiced in Syracuse University since 1884 and the Basket-ball since 1899.
The football teams American and of basketball share the Carrier Dome, stage of cover of 51.000 places in configuration American football and 33.000 places in configuration basketball. This stage was inaugurated the September 20th 1980. Before this date, the football team American played Archbold Stadium, stage of 40.000 places inaugurated the September 25th 1907 and closed the November 11th 1978.
