In the Textile , the synthetic fiber is a Fiber (or a wire) produced starting from matter (S) synthetic (S).

A synthetic matter is a matter obtained by Synthèse of chemical compounds. These chemical compounds come almost exclusively from Hydrocarbure S or Amidon.

The first plastic fiber marketed in 1938 is the Nylon, since many synthetic fabrics appeared: the fibers Acrylic S, the Aramide, the Olefin and the Polyester. One knows less the trade secrets in the use of synthetic fibers at particular industrial ends, such as materials of insulation, or in particular the manufacture of fabrics bulletproof, allied with other substances.
