The symphony orchestra of Galicia ( Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia ) (OSG) is an orchestra based with Corogne (Spain)

History

It was created in 1992 by the town hall of Corogne, and has its seat in this city with the Palacio of Ópera . Its chief is Víctor Pablo Pérez; he was orchestra resident of the Festival Rossini of Pesaro of 2003 with 2005 and of the Mozart festival of Corogne since his creation in 1998.

He carried out rounds in Germany and Austria.

In its discography for labels like EMI, Koch, Naive, BMG and Arts appears of the names like those of Peter Maag, Antonio Meneses, Manuel Barrueco, María Bayo, Plácido Domingo, Juan Pons or Ewa Podles inter alia.

The symphony orchestra of Galicia created, in its turn, the chorus, the chamber orchestra ( Orquesta de Cámara ), the orchestra of the young people ( Orquesta Joven ), the school of the orchestral practice ( Escuela de Práctica Orquestal ), the children singers of the OSG ( los Niños Cantores ) and the chorus of the young people ( el Coro joven ) of the OSG.
