Symphony orchestra of Bavarian Broadcasting

The Symphony orchestra of Bavarian Broadcasting ( Symphonieorchester of Bayerischen Rundfunks ) is one of the principal orchestras of the town of Munich, with the Philharmonic orchestra of Munich and the Orchestre of the Opera of State of Bavaria.

History

The orchestra is founded in 1949 by Eugen Jochum, which ensures of it the musical direction until 1960.

The orchestra is still regarded today as one of best in the world, as testifies the recent recording to it to the Fourth symphony of Dmitri Chostakovitch with the Latvian chief Mariss Jansons with the rod.
