History
Founded in 1930 under the name of Symphony orchestra of the radio of Moscow , the concerts of the new formation are broadcast on the whole of the territory of the the USSR. In 1993, after the dissolution of the USSR, the orchestra acquires its current name in homage to the Russian type-setter Tchaikovski.The current musical director is Vladimir Fedosseiev which occupies this station since 1974.
During the Soviet years, the orchestra was known under various names, such Symphony orchestra of the Radio and the Television of State of the USSR , Symphony orchestra of the Radio of State of the USSR or Symphony orchestra of the Radio and the Television of the joined together Soviets .
