Symphony in major F of Saint-Saëns
The Symphonie in major F “Urbs Roma” (“town of Rome”) is a work of Camille Saint-Saëns written in 1857.
Saint-Saëns wrote on the whole five Symphonie S of which three carry a number of which its famous third, said " with orgue". In addition to these last, it composed at the 15 years age a symphony in major the , like this one. It is thus chronologically the third, written at the 22 years age, precedent 2 years its n° 2 .

It is composed of four movements and its execution requires a little more than forty minutes, which is made its longest symphony.
