Sylvain Eugene Raynal (March 3rd 1867 - January 13rd 1939, Boulogne-Billancourt), French military officer.

It is made prisoner at the height of Are worth on June 8th, 1916. In captivity with Mainz on June 11th, 1916 with the Citadel of Mainz then in captivity with Stressbourg (Eastern Prussia) on November 5th, 1917 and internee with Interlaken (Swiss) on March 30th, 1918. It is released on November 4th, 1918. In 1920 he was military commander of the Mainz city. He dies in 1939. The commander Raynal had also had strong civic engagements: pre-war period, it had supported the action of Jaurès and the socialist party.
