Sylvain Eugene Raynal (March 3rd 1867 - January 13rd 1939, Boulogne-Billancourt), French military officer.
The Fort of Be worth is ordered by the commander Raynal, born on March 7th 1867 which began the war with the head of the 7th regiment of Algerian riflemen.

It is made prisoner at the height of Are worth on June 8th, 1916. In captivity with Mainz on June 11th, 1916 with the Citadel of Mainz then in captivity with Stressbourg (Eastern Prussia) on November 5th, 1917 and internee with Interlaken (Swiss) on March 30th, 1918. It is released on November 4th, 1918. In 1920 he was military commander of the Mainz city. He dies in 1939. The commander Raynal had also had strong civic engagements: pre-war period, it had supported the action of Jaurès and the socialist party. Near to the commander Rossel Henri Gerard, colloborator of Jaurès for the new Army and the military heading of Humanity , it had in particular invested in the animation of the socialist summer camp " Large Air".
