Sylvain Chomet

Sylvain Chomet , born the November 10th 1963 with Houses-Laffitte, is a draftsman and scenario writer of Cartoon, and a realizer of Cartoon film French.

Biography

It takes down its baccalaureat Visual arts in 1982 then in 1984 is registered with the University of the applied arts Duperré section stylism and visual expression. It gives up during the year and leaves then for Angouleme where it will be graduate University of the image in 1987.

The previous year, it published its first cartoon the secrecy of the dragonflies ( Futurpolis ) then in collaboration with Nicolas de Crécy, leaves an adaptation the Romance first of Victor Hugo, Bug-Jargal .

Sylvain Chomet leaves then for the England where it carries out some commercials in free lance ( Renault , Suissair , Swinton …) then of return in France the video clip Ca produces goes, its goes for the vocal group TSF .

In 2004 Sylvain Chomet opened his own studio of animation to Edimbourgh in Scotland, the Django studio.

In 2005, it passes to the camera while realizing for the film Paris, I love you , the short film on the 7th district (the Eiffel tower).

I would have agreed to turn in the 14th district, but to final, I turned in the 7th district, of which nobody seemed to want. It is true that the Eiffel Tower is not easy to tally, but I found that very intéressant.

Since, it began the production in Edinburgh from the illusionist based on an unfinished script of Jacques Tati.
