Sword off Fargoal is a Video game written by Jeff McCord and published in 1983 by Epyx. The first version was intended for the Commodore VIC-20 and a version for the Commodore 64 was published little time afterwards.
Sword off Fargoal is a Rogue-like , the player controlling a warrior who tries to find a sword in infested undergrounds of monsters. Sword off Fargoal was one of the first video games general public to have introduced certain elements taken again later by others rogue-like . The play was also particularly hard to overcome.
With the difference of much of other plays of this type, Sword off Fargoal used true graphics to represent its universe and the action was carried out in real-time.
