Switzerland or History of happy People
Work of the Swiss writer Denis de Rougemont appeared in 1965.
Through the example of his country, Denis de Rougemont shows in this work how a federation functions. The historical part recalls the history of the Swiss myth.
This country, reserved compared to the formation of Europe of the six (which will become well after the U.E.), is however an ideal microcosm of realities which Europe will early owe or to late face.
It is in this book that Denis still supplements the sentence of Victor Hugo (“in the history of the people, Switzerland will have the last word”) by the famous one “is necessary it that she says it”.
