The Swiss plate ( German Mittelland in ) is one of the three geographical whole of the Suisse, located between the chain of the the Jura and the the Alps and accounts for approximately 30% of the surface of the country. It includes/understands all the area located between the Jura and the Alps, formed partially of plains, but mainly of hills, and its average altitude varies between 400 and 600 Mr. C' is by far the area densément populated of Switzerland, and consequently the most influential space of the country concerning the economy and transport.
Formed thanks to the erosion of the Alps, the many lakes and valleys result from erosion refrigerator. The plate is made of Moraine S and thick layers of sediments.
The plate accounts for 30% of the Swiss territory, it defines the areas of plain of the country. It extends over the entire length from the country, forming a going axis of the Lac Léman in south-west with the Lac of Constancy in the North-East.
