Swiss alpine club
The Swiss alpine Club (CASE), is a club Suisse created in 1863. It takes part in the development of the alpine environment and the Alpinisme. It works in favor of a practice responsible for the sports for mountain and of a broad access for alpine space to the public eager to practice the sports of mountain. It engages for sustainable development and the safeguard of the alpine environment.
The CASE exploits more than 150 huts, 97 stations of help and approximately 3000 active voluntary rescuers. Its 111 sections add up 110 000 members In 2006.
The CASE is member of the International union of associations of alpinism (UIAA), of the Club alpine arc (CAA), of the International commission of alpine help (CISA) and of the International commission for the protection of the Alps (CIPRA).

- Youth organization (Climbing indoor and outdoor, alpinism, cross-country ski run or snowboard, cascades of ice, forwardings,… for the 14 - 22 years)
- Sauvegarde of the environment
- Cultural activities (Musée alpine Switzerland with Bern)
