Swiss Arts center
The Swiss Arts center of Paris, located at 38 rue des Francs-Bourgeois, in the district of Subdued (3 {{E}} district is a cultural organization whose objective is to be a window of the Swiss culture in the capital of the France. Financed by Pro Helvetia, Swiss foundation for the culture, it inaugurated in 1985.

Operation
Since 2002 and until its sudden death on May 1st 2007, the Swiss Arts center was directed by Michel Ritter, and was managed by Katrin Saadé-Meyenberger.

Mission and activities
The Arts center has the role to make known in France the various fields of the Swiss creation, there to support the insertion of the artists and Swiss professional environments and to connect multilingual cultural Switzerland with the cultures present in Paris.Spaces of the Center include/understand a theater of a hundred places, two showrooms and a Bibliothèque which is also the information center of the public.
The theater allows to present spectacles of small size (Théâtre, Danse), concerts (traditional and contemporary, Jazz), to project films and to organize meetings.
The programming of the exposures privileges the Contemporary art and transmits the memory of the Swiss cultural history by exposures sets of themes and documentary.
The library
With the 32 Street of Francs-Bourgeois (direct access since the street), the Bibliothèque of the Arts center proposes in free consultation on the spot, a bottom of more than 8.000 Livres and Revue S on fields varied concerning the Suisse: Literature (German, French, Italian and Romanche), visual Arts, Architecture, Photography, Cinema, Music, Dance, Theater, Geography, History, Social sciences.The library also proposes a bottom of more than 1.000 audio CD of Swiss musics in free listening.
