Sweat Lyon

Sue Lyon (July 10th 1946, Davenport, Iowa) is a American Actrice . She is known to have interpreted the role titrates film Lolita of Stanley Kubrick (1962).

Lolita

At the fourteen years age, she interprets the role of Dolores Haze, alias “Lolita”, young Adolescent E seductresses and object of the desire of Humbert Humbert, in film of Kubrick. She was selected because its appearance suggested an older person, which was to be a good means to limit the awaited controversies, although Lolita is a less explosive adaptation and more “decent” of the Romance of the same name of Vladimir Nabokov.

Fifteen years old at the time of the first of film, she knew one short period of celebrity and accepted even a Golden Globe.

Cinematographic career

Sue Lyon then interpreted a similar role in the adaptation of the Play the Night of the iguana ( The Night off Iguana ) of Tennessee Williams in 1964, which also made controversy, mainly because of a scene where Lyon is filmed emerging from water.

In 1965 it plays in the 7 women of John Ford.

The notoriety of Lyon decrease quickly and it is relegated to secondary roles as of the years 1970. It continued to turn in various films until in the years 1980.

Private life

Divorced after a short marriage Hampton Fancher, Known Lyon remarie in 1970 with Roland Harrison, a Photographer Afro-American. After an exile in Spain, Lyon divorces again and turns over to the the United States. It will remariera third once and still divorced when his/her husband was locked up in the prison of state of the Colorado, shown Meurtre. This chaotic life can be explained by the bipolar Trouble that one diagnosed to him and for whom it followed a treatment.

Recently, Lyon held of the bitter remarks towards the film which made of it a star. In 1998, it declared at the agency Reuters that Lolita was the film which “had caused destruction as anybody”.

Anecdote

At the time of the exit of Lolita , in 1962, one refused to him to enter the room to see his film because it was minor.
