Sviloš

Sviloš , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Свилош, is a village of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. It belongs to the municipality of Beočin in the district of Bačka Southerner. In 2002, it counted 362 inhabitants, including 350 Serbes (96,68%).

Although it belongs to the district of Bačka Southerner, the locality of Sviloš in fact is located in the area of Syrmie.

During the Second world war, 116 civilians were killed there by the Nazis.

In 1948, the village counted 470 inhabitants, in 1981 367 and, in 1991, 347.
