Surfrider Foundation Europe
The Surfrider Foundation Europe is an association with not-lucrative goal (Association law of 1901) which consists to protect and emphasize the oceans, the waves and the littoral.
This association was created in 1990 by a group of surfers whose Tom Curren, triple world champion of Surf, and takes again the objectives of association Surfrider Foundation creates into 1984 with the the United States.
It gathers more than 3500 members in Europe. It gathers among its members of the impassioned people of the oceans and concerned of the Environnement.
Objectives
The main aims of Surfrider Foundation are quite simply of:

to fight against the Pollution of the oceans: oil slicks, degasifications, waste floating, bacteriological pollution…

to inform the public with regard to water quality, the legislations and the real risks in the event of pollution.

to make become aware of the extent of pollution and render comprehensible as of today the stakes of the protection of the ocean.
Organization
The seat of association Surfrider Foundation Europe is located in France at Biarritz. Each year, in December, a general meeting elects a board of directors made up of ten bénvoles.
For its operation, association also recruited six paid people.
