Supreme Squadron
The Supreme Escadron (Supreme Squadron in the original version) is a group of Super-héros, appearing in different Comics, created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema in 1969 (the " first apparition" , the Sinister Squadron, having been an alternate version of the team in question). The traditional team, that known of long time, comes from a ground parallel (Ground-712) with that of reference of the Univers Marvel (Ground-616). However, a recent revised version was created in 2006 by Joe Michael Straczynski and Gary Frank and resides on the Ground-31916.
The first Supreme Squadron
Origins
Of return of a preceding adventure, four members of the Vengeurs (Goliath (Henry Pym), the Red Witch, Quicksilver and the Vision) meet the Supreme Squadron while forwarding by the Ground-712. After a short confrontation, the Avengers help to demolish a common enemy before turning over on the Ground-616 ( Avengers (flight. I) #85-86 ). The Squadron reappears some time later when the Avengers arrive on the Ground-712 to solve the problem arising from the Crown-Snake. The latter are not long in fighting the Squadron which will prove to be controlled by the Crown-Snake; artefact not being long in joining the abyssals zone of the ocean of the Ground-616 ( Avengers (flight. I) #141-144 and 147-149 ). Several years later, the Défenseurs meet the Supreme Squadron on a Ground-712 fallen under the mental cut from surpuissant Overmind. The Defenders manage to release the Squadron; units, they triumph over Overmind which unfortunately leaves planet in a state completely disorganized ( Defenders (flight. I) #112-115 ).
Mini-series & " Death off has Universe"
In 1985 and 1986, the adventures of the Supreme Squadron on their ground continue in a mini-series in 12 numbers (appeared in the Spidey 87 to 99). Indeed, the members of the Squadron affirm that they have knowledge and the capacities necessary to a new world and wish to create a Utopie. Nighthawk resigns as protest, a believer whom the Squadron must serve and not control. In one year, the members of the Squadron initiate major changes and reveal their identities secrêtes. They organize, in the prisons, a programme of Modification of the Behavior, apply a strict control of the weapons and develop a medical technology allowing even the resurrection of deaths. Nevertheless, in spite of stability found with the the United States, they box serious reverse. The Golden Archer uses a modifier of behavior so that a member of the team falls in love with him; it ends up being expelled of the Squadron. Amphibien resigns following the abuses the modifiers of behaviors. Nukléon/( Nuke ) dies in combat against Doctor Spectrum after having indirectly killed his/her own parents by its radiations and clerk of the destruction in an access of rage. Nighthawk tries, in vain, to obtain the assistance of the Avengers. Having however found allies, it engages in a brutal battle against its former partners. Several members of the two teams are killed, including Nighthawk. Horrified Hypérion puts an end to the combat by realizing that his/her friend, Nighthawk, were right finally. Some time afterwards, the remainder of the Supreme Squadron gathers to fight the Nth Man which was banished Ground-616. The victory follows but of other members of the team perish. The survivors arrive on the Ground-616.
Exile and Return
The Supreme Squadron meets the cosmic hero on several occasions Quasar ( Quasar (flight. I) #13-17, 28-29 and 50-56) ) and ends up residing at the base of the Projet Pegasus supervised by Doctor Andrew Kappelhoff. This last is actually the Controller, itself with the pay of Imus Champion. The two criminals handle the members of the Squadron so that those fight the Avengers. The two teams end up linking themselves and overcoming their enemies. An apparatus pertaining to Imus Champion makes it possible the Squadron to turn over in his own universe ( Avengers (vol.III) #5-6 and year 1998 ; appeared in Iron Man N°5 and 6/Thor n°2 and 3 (1999)). The Ground-712, on which they turn over, is now directed by companies which use the technological resources of the Utopia of the Squadron ( Squadron Supreme: New World Order ). Whereas the Squadron tries to re-establish the democracy, Hypérion is téléporté (by the Nozzle) within the Panoptichron, at the sides of another Hypérion, in order to counter one 3rd version, alternative and malefic of themselves, and to which the Exilés face ( Exiles #64-65 ).

This new version appears for the first time in Squadron Supreme (vol.II) #1 in March 2006.
