Support-the-Baths is a common French, located in the department of the Savoy and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants are the Bridoises and the Bridois .

The commune of Support-the-Baths is located in the valley of Doron de Bozel, tributary of the Isere. Valley belonging to the Tarentaise, the commune is with 6km in the South-east of Moûtiers and with 13km in the North of Méribel.

History

Etymology

Commune formed by the fusion of the communes of Supports and Baths on February 6th, 1847, under decision of Charles-Albert withdrawn to the commune of Saulce. The name of Support used until 1664, then Supports until 1847. The term would come from would come Gallic briva meaning “bridge”.
