The front armlever
The supination is a movement of the front armlever which brings back the palm of the hand, of the position to the bottom with a position upwards. It is the reverse of the Pronation.This movement implements a rotation of the two bones of the front armlever one compared to the other: the Radius passes “over” the Ulna. The crossing of these two bones will make it possible to carry out a rotation movement of the hand and wrist.
The position of reference will be:
- arm along the body;
- elbow folded with 90°;
- wrist in the axis of the front armlever;
- orientation of the inch “towards the sky” (position known as “of the accordionist”).
If rotation carried out pleasing to present the palm “towards the sky”, inch “moving away from the axis of the body” one carries out a movement of supination. If rotation carried out pleasing to present the palm “towards the ground”, inch “towards the axis of the body”, one carries out on the other hand a movement of Pronation.
The foot
The supination of the foot makes it possible to put face to face the plants of each foot (towards “the interior”, towards the sagittal plan). This capacity is a derived Caractère specific to the mammals euarchonte S.See too
