Superman - Red Sound
Superman: Red Its is comics of 3 numbers published in 2003 by cd. Comics, scenarized by Mark Millar and drawn by Dave Johnson and Kilian Plunkett.
This uchronic mini-series imagines a world in which the character of Superman would not be high with the the United States but in Soviet Union. The book starts from this assumption to tell a whole parallel world with its history and its supermen, in the line of the Elseworlds of cd. Comics.
History
The spaceship carrying Kal-L, the Superman future, lands in the USSR of Joseph Stalin. The child is raised by his adoptive parents in a Kolkhoze and is won over to the cause of the Communisme. Thanks to its super-capacities it becomes a symbol of the mode, while refusing to hold a political role. Indeed it estimates that is not sound arises and prefers to act as a simple benefactor of humanity. Safe Superman of the lives everywhere in the world, it does not matter their origin or their ideological membership.The United States sees however the existence of the alien of an evil eye and the CIA request with the brain more the brilliance of the country, the scientist Lex Luthor, to find a means of countering this red Superman. It will develop a whole series of stratagems and themalicious ones intended to eliminate it, but in vain.
Following the assassination of Stalin, and after having become aware of the misery of its people, Superman agrees to reach the capacity while becoming general secretary of the party. It makes profitable its super-capacities to improve the Soviet system and makes it so effective that it is spread peacefully on the near total of the sphere. In the new Russian world order, where the destiny of humanity is controlled by extra terrestrial omnipotent, and where the rare opponents undergo a washing of brain, are born from the bunches from resistant.
Batman, which in its childhood was pilot murder of his/her dissenting parents by Pyotr Roslov, wire illegitimate of Stalin and chief of political police (NKVD), is the spearhead of this anti-Superman movement. During several decades Superman continues to guarantee the order and to fight the crime with the assistance of the Princess Diana Wonder Woman, secretly in love with him. Taken with the trap by Batman, which carries out a plan developped at the point by Luthor, Superman owes its safety in Diana, who by breaking the lasso of Gaia which retained it captive, lack to lose the reason. It will keep rancour eternally of it to him.
The United States is the last noncommunist country and collapses interior, nevertheless the accession of Luthor to the presidency reverses the situation completely. Influenced by Brainiac, which he however thinks of controlling, Superman makes the decision to attack the country, whereas he had always refused there. The part is almost gained when Lois Lane, wife of Luthor, delivers to Superman a letter of her husband. This one makes it reflect on the value of its acts with respect to humanity. Realizing of the tyranny which it ended up creating in spite of him, under the influence of Brainiac, Superman prefers to leave the destiny of planet between the hands of human and to become a simple observer under the identity of Clark Kent.
In a world in peace, and thanks to its genius, Lex Luthor will improve the human condition, increasing the life expectancy considerably. His/her children and descendants will continue his work and many generations later, whereas the Earth is about to disappear, one among them, Jor-L, will send his/her son in the past so that he escapes the destruction from planet…
