Supercoupe of the Netherlands

The Supercoupe of the Netherlands is a competition of Football opposing the winner of the Championnat of the Netherlands to that of the Coupe of the Netherlands. It takes place since 1991.

The trophy

It is the trophy Johan Cruijff. It is about a silver dish of a diameter of 60 centimetres. It is similar to the trophy received by the champions of the Netherlands. It carries the following inscriptions:

On the top: “Johan Cruijff Schaal X”. X coorespond to the ten in Roman numerals. This figure thus evolves/moves every year. Cruijff is written “ij” in opposition to the international epellation while using “there”. It is also a reference to the Roman numerals.
In the center: KNVB followed by the date of match (KNVB for “Koninklijke Nederlandse Voetbal” - Association of the football of the Dutch Kingdom)
On bottom: The name of the two teams playing the match, the champion on the left, the winner of the cut on the right.
