Supercoupe of Mexico
The Supercoupe of Mexico (in Spanish: el Campeón de Campeones ) is a competition of Football opposing the Champion of Mexico and the winner of the Coupe of Mexico.
In the event of doubled cut-championship succeeds by a club the same year, this one is then declared campeonísimo and gains the title automatically.
Created in 1942, the competition is stopped in 1995. In 2001, after six years without Supercoupe, it is started again and its modified format. Indeed, in Mexico one does not dispute any more long championships (the Coupe of Mexico does not take place any more since 1997). One chooses then a match between the champion of the Apertura (championship of opening) and the champion of the Clausura (championship of fence).
