Superboy (televised series)

Superboy ( Superboy then The Adventures off Superboy ) is a American Televised series in hundred 25 minutes episodes, produced by Alexander and Ilya Salkind, inspired by the character of cartoons Superboy created by Jerry Siegel and diffused between on October 8th, 1988 on television and on May 17th, 1992 on television in Syndication. The series was distributed by the company Viacom. In France, the series was diffused daily starting from January 3rd, 1991 on television on TF1, then episodically, in the years 1990, the Saturday afternoon.

Synopsis

This series puts in scene the adolescence of Superman.

History

The pilot of 1960

A pilot of a series for television entitled The Adventures off Superboy was turned in 1960. It remained without continuation. John Rockwell interpreted the role of Clark Kent/Superboy.

Evolution of the series (1988-1992)

After a first season which missed average techniques, the distribution was entirely renewed in 1989 (except for the actress Stacy Haiduk) and the improved special effects. As from the second season, the audience progressed regularly.

For reasons of conflicts between beneficiary (the brothers Salkind, the Viacom companies, Time Warner and cd. Comics), the series was stopped after the fourth season and never was repeated in the United States the following years. The diffusion was taken again in 2006 by AOL-TV.
