Super Wars Robot

Super Robot Wars (スーパーロボット大戦, Super Robot Taisen in Japanese) is a series of strategy games on console published by Banpresto.

The principal characteristic of this series is to propose characters, scenarios and units resulting straight of various works from Japanese animation, since Mazinger, Getter Robo and Gundam until Goldorak. With time the number of series used in a SRW amounts of tens, which makes of it the greatest series of crossover available on console.

Left in 1991 on Game Boy, the first episode, although relatively rudimentary, proposed to play with Mazinger Z, Getter Robo and the robots of Gundam period CPU. The play thus proposed already what will become in the following plays the distinction between super robots , monsters colossal surpuissants but not very handy, and real robots , more realistic and misant more on their agility and their small size. Known play sufficient success to be to know a continuation on Famicom, then on Super Famicom, console on which the series truly exploded and where the bases of the series definitively took form. For reasons of rights, no adaptation animated until now could gather the various series which one finds in the plays. The only characters and matched appearing are there those created by Banpresto ( Banpresto Originals ).
