Sunn O)))
Sunn O))) (simply pronounced as the English word sun ) is a group of American Drone doom formed in 1998 by Stephen O' Malley, member of Khanate and Burning Witch, and Greg Anderson, member of Goatsnake. The group incorporates elements of the Dark ambient, of the metal, and the Doom metal in its music, but remains all the same a group of drone. Sunn O))) was formed as a homage to Earth, group with the very similar sounds, pioneers of the movement drone metal.
Sunn O))) the majority leave their music through the label which they founded in 1998, Southern Lord Records.
