Sun Ra

Sun Ra (born Hermann Poole Blount ) is a Compositeur and Pianiste of American Jazz born with Birmingham, Alabama, the May 22nd 1914 and deceased the May 30th 1993. It is known for its compositions and its phenomenal performance S as much as for strange the " philosophy cosmique" that he preached.

With the head of sound Arkestra , it recorded more than two hundred albums, generally on its mark " Saturn " since the end of the year 1950.

It inspired Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin, in the adventures of Valérian, for the character of Sun Rae in the City of moving water .
