Summoning
Summoning is a group of Black Austrian metal . Their style is described as being Tolkien metal and with reason, because the words of each one of their compositions to date are inspired by the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien; indeed, in the majority of these compositions, one will be able to find in the words, the songs and the poems which are present in the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. Only the album Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame makes exception: indeed, the words of this album take as a starting point other authors that Tolkien, like Moorcock.
The two members of the group are rather prolific musicians who also officiate in other formations; thus Protector (alias Richard Lederer) is at the origin of Die Verbannten Kinder Eva' S (at the sides of his/her sister) and of Ice Ages (side project electro dark/dark ambient), one will also find it in Grabesmond, Pazuzu and Whispers in has shadow. As for Silenius (Michael Gregor), one finds it within Abigor, also in Pazuzu, Grabesmond, or, following the example his binomial of Summoning, in a personal project of the name of Kreuzweg Ost.
