Introduction

Summit FOUNDATION was created in order to defend the nature of this country, in particular its mountains and its lakes, whose charm and beauty made of it a particularly gravitational tourist destination and of an excellent reputation. The safeguard of this single framework passes obligatorily by a collective awakening, the action and a responsible behavior. Summit FOUNDATION aims sensitizing each and everyone with the environmental problems and at proposing simple solutions and concrete applicable to the daily newspaper. Its challenge is that to return compatible daily life, leisures and protection of nature.

The purpose of Summit FOUNDATION is of:

to promote the respect of the environment and to preserve the beauty of the mountains, lakes and landscapes, by education, the action and prevention.

In this direction, Summit FOUNDATION gives itself for objectives the continuation and the development of its activities, in particular:

Educational actions: The Foundation educates the generations incipient with the current environmental problems and the existing and future alternatives, in a specific way for the areas of mountains and lakes, but also on the scale of planet.

Publicity campaigns: The independent factors of deterioration against which the Foundation fights and wants to continue to fight are:

abandoned waste (drink containers, packing of food, cigarette ends of cigarettes, etc),
gaps and lack of information in the field of the sorting and the management of waste (recovery, valorization and waste disposal, promotion of ecological products, etc),
generalized lack of environmental conscience within the framework of sports events and cultural, schools, companies, general public, etc

Summit FOUNDATION was given for mission of finding concrete solutions. It is by joining together the experiments and by carrying out a considerable work of information that the behavior of each one will be able to make possible sustainable development in our natural spaces.

Programs and produced

Ecoconscience

Summit FOUNDATION sensitizes the children and the teenagers with the respect of the environment and improves the ecological conscience of the general public.

Thus, the Foundation organizes information campaigns, collectings of waste as well as workshops of education, training and sensitizing intended to the children and for the young adults. These activities are renewed regularly.

Ecostation

The program ecostation sensitizes the general public with ecology within a framework with tourist vocation (ski stations, hiking trails in rackets with snow, edges of lakes, marinas, etc).

Summit FOUNDATION is today approved by the Swiss Company of the Ski lifts and is ecological partner of 65 ski stations in Switzerland and close France.

Summit FOUNDATION is partner of www.sentiers-raquettes.ch on more than 180 paths marked out (that is to say approximately 800 km) for the excursion in rackets with snow.

Ecofestival/Ecotour

Summit FOUNDATION proposes solutions with the ecological problems involved in the demonstrations.

The program ecofestival aims:

the promotion of sustainable development, reduction in the impact of the waste given up on the sites of demonstrations the sensitizing of the public to protection of nature at the time of sports events and cultural. tools of prevention and sensitizing were designed, developed and marketed by the Foundation. Among most carrying, one can raise the ecobox and the ecopoint.

Ecopoint

Summit FOUNDATION conceives and produced industrial material allowing the tri professional of waste. The marketed ecopoints are intended to be used in urban environment, in station of mountain or a specific way at the time of festivals or sporting events. These industrial solutions, last design in date of the foundation, are prone to a very promising future; at the end of 2006, a first version will be installed downtown of Lausanne and other European cities right now expressed a great interest for this project.

Ecoshop

Summit FOUNDATION proposes a complete catalog of objects useful for the sorting and the sensitizing of the public:

ecobox, bottle openers out of wooden, books and educational card decks, flyers, posters, dustbins out of wooden, tee-shirts, objects and single pieces of furniture out of recycled materials, etc

All the material used and proposed by Summit FOUNDATION is manufactured in Switzerland starting from products 100% recycled and which can be recycled and, as far as possible, within sheltered industries.
