Sultan AD-Dawla
Soltan o-dowleh abu Chujâ ` or Sultan AD-Dawla Abû Chujâ `Fannâ Khusraw ( Sultan of the empire ) is the oldest son of the emir bouyide of Iraq and of the Fars Bahâ' AD-Dawla Fîrûz. There succeeds his father in December 1012 He remains emir of Fars until his death in 1024, but he leaves Iraq to his brother Mucharrif AD-Dawla Hassan in 1021. In Fars his/her son Abû Kâlîjâr `Imâd AD-DIN Marzubân succeeds to him in 1024.
Biography
Abû Chujâ `Fannâ Khusraw passes its youth to Babgdad. His/her father Bahâ' AD-Dawla Fîrûz designates it as his successor little time before his death. Bahâ' AD-Dawla dies on December 22nd, 1012, it leaves four wire:- Fannâ Khusraw which succeeds to him like emir of Iraq and of the Fars with the title of Sultan AD-Dawla ( Sultan of the empire ). :
- Chirzîl is named governor of Bassora with the title of Jalâl AD-Dawla ( Splendeur of the empire ).
- Abû Al-Fawâris is named governor of the Kermân with the title of Qiwâm AD-Dawla ( Soutien of the empire ).
- Hassan is named governor of Iraq with the title of Mucharrif AD-Dawla ( Noblesse of the empire ). In 1021, he becomes the emir of Iraq in the place of his brother who keeps Fars.
Instead of awaiting the badges of its function and the nomination of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Qadir, it leaves immediately for Chiraz where his/her father died. It remains in Fars during three years before turning over towards Iraq. It does not go until Baghdad and is satisfied to meet his brother Mucharrif AD-Dawla with Ahvaz.
In 1018, Sultan AD-Dawla again makes the voyage towards Iraq. This time is to try to negotiate with the emirs of Mosul. Qiwâm AD-Dawla benefits from the absence of Sultan AD-Dawla to invade Fars with the assistances of the Ghaznavides. This attack fails but mark even more division of Bouyides. After having pushed back the attack of Qiwâm AD-Dawla, Sultan AD-Dawla turns over to Iraq with an aim of consolidating there its authority, the area of the marshes of the south of Iraq is finally subjected by Bouyides.
The competition enters the troops Turkish and the troops Daylam ites continuous to cause disorders. The arrival in Baghdad de Sultan AD-Dawla increases the number of the daylamites and their influence. In 1021, the mercenaries Turkish indicate Mucharrif AD-Dawla Hassan like their emir. After long negotiations, Sultan AD-Dawla recognizes his brother like “king d' Irak” an unknown title until there. Nevertheless Sultan AD-Dawla wants to take again the capacity directly. He invades Iraq with his army. He is overcome the troops of his brother Mucharrif AD-Dawla so that Iraq becomes completely independent. Sultan AD-Dawla is expelled of Iraq, his name is not quoted more at the time of the prayers of Friday, Mucharrif AD-Dawla is recognized like new “the emirs of the emirs”.
Sultan AD-Dawla dies in December 1024. His/her son Abû Kâlîjâr `Aldine Imâd Marzubân succeeds to him in Fars.
