Sukhoï Known-47 Berkut
The Sukhoi Known-47 , called the Berkut (Russian: Су-47 Беркут ), the Eagle gilded, is a Russian experimental fighter plan, produced by Sukhoï, whose 1st flight took place in 1997.
It must be used as model for the design of the future fighter plan of the Russian air force in the years 2010. Its main feature, which makes it immediately identifiable, is that it is provided with wings with reversed arrows. This characteristic enables him to have a speed, operating a range, an operational ceiling, a capacity of carrying, a furtivity, a handiness out it common without forgetting its capacities s.t.o.l.
Design
In spite of the little of information made public to date, Known-47 was conceived to exceed the performances of the hunters to the point of current technology such as the F-22 Raptor. Equipped a raised speed, with an exceptional handiness and a stability than satisfactory, Known-47 more for the missions of air interception would be rather directed.Although with the state of prototype in this moment, this project should be born in 2010.
