Sugihara Chiune

Chiune Sugihara (January 1st, 1900 - June 31st, 1986) was a Diplomate Japanese which saved Jewish thousands of during the Second world war. It occupied then the station of Consul of the Japan in Lithuania. It seems to have acted without another motivation that to make the things in a way right.

It granted thousands of visas towards Japan of its clean intiative.

One also knows it under the names of Sempo Sugiwara and Chiune Sempo Sugihara.

When it was asked him why it had risked its career, even its life, to help of other people, it would have answered, quoting a proverb Samuraï: " Even a hunter cannot kill the bird which flies towards him by seeking a refuge".
