Subisław Ier de Poméranie
Subislaw Ier de Poméranie (in Polish Subisław I Gdański ), also called Sobieslaw Ier de Poméranie ( Sobiesław I Gdański ), was born towards 1130 and deceased towards 1177/1179. It is Palatin of Poméranie Eastern and the first historical representative of a Dynastie which will control Poméranie Eastern until the 13th century.
Subisław is undoubtedly resulting from a powerful Polish family. It would have received grounds in Poméranie Eastern after the conquest of this one by Boleslas III the Stop-Chest and would have fulfilled the function of governor. According to the Chronic of Oliwa written at the 14th century, Subisław would be the founder of the monastery of Oliwa and the father of Sambor I {{er}} and Mestwin I {{er}}.
According to the Obituary of Oliwa, Subisław Ier de Poméranie is deceased the January 23rd 1178. This date is not very credible considering the source dates from the 14th century.
